PROCTORING SYSTEM
At Academy for Learning Pre-University College, we take pride in our distinctive proctorial system, designed to provide personalized care and attention to each student. This system revolves around the concept of assigning a dedicated lecturer to a group of 10 students for a duration of two academic years. This close mentorship ensures that students receive tailored guidance and support to overcome academic challenges and navigate other curricular issues effectively.
The cornerstone of our proctorial system is the intimate bond forged between the lecturer and their assigned group of students. Throughout the two-year span, the lecturer serves as a mentor, advisor, and confidant for their group of students. PARENTS TEACHER MEETING
At Academy for Learning Pre University College, we prioritize the involvement of parents in their child's educational journey through regular Parents’ Meetings, scheduled well in advance to ensure attendance. Attendance by all parents and guardians on the specified dates and times is compulsory. Moreover, it is imperative that students also participate in these meetings alongside their parents, fully prepared as per instructions provided by the designated Proctor. This collaborative effort is a significant step towards enhancing the academic performance of the students under our care. Failure to attend these meetings will be regarded with utmost seriousness, given the importance we place on parental involvement in our educational approach.

While attendance is mandatory, we understand that certain circumstances may arise that prevent participation. In such cases, prior permission to abstain or request a change of date must be obtained directly from the Principal. Genuine reasons such as illness or travel will be considered, ensuring that no student or parent is unfairly penalized for unavoidable circumstances.

REMIDIAL COACHING

To realize this vision, we provide tailored support to students across the academic spectrum. Those in need receive specialized and intensive coaching sessions lasting one hour daily after regular classes, aimed at boosting their academic performance and confidence. Similarly, academically adept students benefit from enrichment opportunities, dedicating four hours per week to deepen their subject knowledge and skills.

REGULAR TESTS AND EXAMS
Throughout the academic year, Academy for Learning ensures comprehensive assessment for both I and II PUC students, conducting a minimum of six examinations. These assessments include Monthly Tests, Term Examinations mandated by the Department, Preparatory Examinations, and the Annual Examinations, all of which are obligatory for every student.
Following each examination, prompt evaluation of answer scripts occurs based on the prescribed Scheme of Valuation. Subsequently, provisional marks cards with results are swiftly distributed to students. Additionally, parents/guardians are promptly informed of their child's performance.
As part of our commitment to transparency and accountability, the college requires parents/guardians to sign the photocopies of their child's marks sheet. These signed copies are then submitted to the respective proctor by the student for further follow-up and record-keeping.

GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
- Students must obtain permission from the Principal before leaving the college premises during class hours.
- Transfer of students mid-academic year is not permitted.
- To qualify for examinations, students must maintain a minimum attendance of 85% in all subjects.
- No changes to subject combinations or languages are allowed after the first 10 days of class commencement for I PU students.
- Parents/guardians may meet the Principal and lecturers by appointment only, Monday to Friday.
- Prior permission from the Principal is required for students to leave town.
- Leave applications, signed by a parent/guardian, must be submitted to the Proctor in advance for planned absences. In emergencies, parents/guardians must inform college authorities immediately.
- Use of mobile phones, radios, iPods, cameras, laptops, or electronic devices is strictly prohibited on campus; confiscated items will not be returned.
- Hostel students must obtain permission from the Warden and Principal before leaving or vacating the premises.
- Riding or driving motor vehicles on or near the college premises is prohibited.
